GRAPE: Garnacha, Cariñena, Merlot
APPELLATION: Priorat DOCa.
VINIFICATION: Maceration during 8 days. Fermentation in 5.000-liter barrels with indigenous yeasts.
Aged 9 months in French oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Ripe dark fruit, spiced oak, licorice, cloves and wet rock here. Full-bodied with creamy tannins, dense structure and a mellow, sweetish finish. Rich and ripe, yet soft and somewhat easy to drink. 45% garnache noir, 45% carignan and 10% merlot.
FOOD PAIRING: Barbecued beef with dry marinade, duck Salad with straw-berries, mexican-style chicken, tortillas with steak and grilled vegetable, cheeses or soups.

Priorat D.O.Ca. is nowadays one of the most prestigious wine region all over the world. Unique. Sublime. The vines grow in poor, rocky soils, mainly silica slate, known by locals as “llicorella”, that gives Priorat its unique character. The llicorella confers the exclusive personality to the Priorat wines.
