GRAPE: Tempranillo 90% Garnacha 10%
APPELLATION: Rioja DOCa
VINIFICATION: The harvest, by hand and in small boxes, was 2,500. Cold maceration for 3 days, before starting fermentation, which took place in a small stainless steel tank, at controlled temperature. The pumping over regimen varied depending on the moment of fermentation, always looking for respect the subtlety of this vineyard.
TASTING NOTES:Beautiful cherry red color, bright and vivid. On the nose it is very subtle and elegant, with intense black fruits (blackberry, blueberries) and spices (cinnamon, liquorice) on a fresh and very floral background from the 10% Garnacha from this vineyard. A very wide and balanced mouth is surprising, with silky and polished tannins. Fresh, enveloping and with a long finish.
«Showcasing a remarkable vineyard planted in 1946, this is a graceful pairing of Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha, showing subtle reduction, understated grip and tannins, blood orange and bramble flavours, a breath of oak spices and incredible elegance and precision. Perfection.» Tim Atkin
FOOD PAIRING: Perfect pairing with Iberico bellota ham, roasted lamb, beef wellington, fillet mignon, suckling pig and all important dishes.
