GRAPE: Tempranillo, Garnacha

APPELLATION: Rioja DOCa.

VINIFICATION: Fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Clarified, filtered and transferred to the barrel. Aged in French medium toast and American medium toast oak barrels during 30 months + 24 months in bottle before release.

TASTING NOTES: Bright garnet. Perfumed, slightly high-toned aromas of blackberry, licorice, wild herbs and elegant vanilla. Extremely long, with resonating sweetness, gently tannic and very long finish.

FOOD PAIRING: Perfect pairing with Iberic Bellota Jamón, Filet mignon, Roasted lamb and all-important dishes.

The origins of Bodega Marqués del Silvo are deeply linked to the development of Rioja region, being from the beginning until today, one of the pillars of this Denomination of Origin, one of the most important and renowned in the world. Located at 50 kilometers from the historic city of Logroño, on the same estate that remains its cellar right from the beginning and surrounded by 150 hectares of extremely well-kept and carefully crafted vineyards next to the Ebro River.
Inside the cellar located in a unique environment between vineyards and mountains where the highest quality range of wine is developed, including the unrivaled ranges of Marqués del Silvo RESERVA and GRAN RESERVA, highly recognized nationally and internationally right since their first vintages. For the aged wines, the winery counts on a barrel stock room, comprising fine-grained oak barrels of French and American origin with different levels of toast that are combined to add the best contribution of toasted and spicy hints to the wines.
