RAPE: Tempranillo, Merlot
APPELLATION: Cigales DO.
VINIFICATION: Hand harvested. Macerated for 25 days at 26-28ºC. Fermentation in stainless-steel for another 20 days. Aged 12 months in American oak barrels. 6 months in the bottle before release
TASTING NOTES: Deep and intense cherry color. On the nose it shows nice black plums and toasted notes hues. In the mouth displays balance and persistence. Very good concentration. Intense finish with black fruits.
FOOD PAIRING: Roasted lamb, grilled chicken, mature cheeses, cold meat, pork stew.

The winery Lezcano—Lacalle is known as the pioneer of the great red wines of the Region and owns some of the oldest vineyards one can find in Cigales area.
Félix Lezcano became the driving force behind CIGALES, with the first Merlot grape plantations and its red Reserva wines made under the brand.
Currently, the wines are produced from a selection of Tempranillo and Merlot grapes, from vineyards over 25 years old, and matured for a long time in oak barrels.
