GRAPE: Garnacha
APPELLATION: Rioja DOCa
VINIFICATION: After destemming, the grapes are introduced in a 500 liters clay vat in which they undergo alcoholic fermentation and ageing. Aged 11 months in a 500 liters clay pot.
TASTING NOTES: Its violet color of very high intensity stands out. Its fruity nose is reminiscent of blackberries and minerals. It has a very structured and powerful palate, especially very tasty. It has a freshness and a long persistence in the mouth.
FOOD PAIRING: Barbecued ribs, steaks and grilled vegetables

Located in Rioja Alta, one of the best-known wine-producing regions of Spain. This winery, operated in the town of Baños de Río Tobía (Rioja Alta) by Juan Carlos Sancha, a professor of enology at the University of La Rioja, is situated on five hectares of land along the border of D.O.Ca. Rioja, and in the coldest zone of this wine denomination. Juan Carlos Sancha is a renowned winemaker in Rioja, known for his focus on preserving and showcasing old vine Garnacha and lesser-known native grape varieties. His vineyards are located in the Alto Najerilla Valley, where some vines are over 100 years old. Sancha is deeply committed to sustainable viticulture and terroir-driven winemaking, producing limited quantities of high-quality wines.
